Bamboo College Kartong
The Gambia
Bamboo College Kartong was established in 2011 by young boys and girls from Kartong village who decide to do something about their daily life, being unemployed with no daily income. By joining the vision and objectives of BC international that are a base of ethic and permaculture philosophy and adapting it with their own realities - environmentally and culturally.
Today as a group and a movement, young people from Kartong are creating a sustainable platform for jobs, knowledge and earth caring.
They are now planting trees for reforestation, and making a botanical garden and searching for solutions to prevent deforestation.
A “set settal“ platform
The Bamboo College Kartong group will offer the manpower to clean outdoor of households, neighboring or public places, from plastic invasion for recycling or collecting inorganic things that endanger the society and the soil ( pile battery, unused lamp bulbs, with mercury content etc.. ), fixing fencing, gardening, design- and botanical work.
