Presenting world wide environmental consciousness
and sustainable solutions

Bamboo forests
Bamboo forests replaces 30% of its biomass in one year; a tree forest only 3 - 5%. The more bamboo we use, the more beautiful bamboo forest we have. Bamboo minimizes CO2 gases by generating up to 35% more oxygen than an equivalent tree forest. Mature bamboo has an extensive root system that continues to send up new shoots for decades. Harvesting is done by hand, minimizing the impact on the local environment. By working with bamboo and understanding its growth patterns, bamboo farmers are able to maximize timber production while maintaining healthy forests.
The goal of our foundation is to provide correct information about Bamboo and sustainable solutions in general. To explore the possibilities of bamboo: If we consider the environmental state of the world as our responsibility, and recognize that our choice of material does make a difference, then we can become part of the solution. Bamboo is such a solution!
The college shall promote knowledge of and interest in Bamboo: educational programs about bamboo and related sustainable solutions, and encourage the growth and propagation of bamboo.
